I wasn't planning a ride today, but it happened. I started with my on-line work, then cut all the grass. At one point the clouds seemed to be getting thinner and I thought perhaps it would be OK to ride. I hurried up and changed, stretched and took off.
I wasn't sure about a lot of things on this ride, including where I was going. But while waiting at an intersection the second car's window opened up and a lady asked me if the road we were about the cross was College Ave. I told her no, and as I did so, two young ladies in the car in front of them now rolled down the window and asked how to get to Botanical Gardens. I told them, then figured what the heck..lets go to Botanical.
When I got there I decided to climb up the barn hill...did a lap around the Botanical crit course.
It actually felt great to be riding again. The tendonitis in my knee has actually moved from the outside to the inside of the knee area. Who knows. All I know is that it did not really bother me while riding today. Man, am I out of shape though. Again...oh well, my goal is just to try to enjoy some fall riding for the next month to finish the season.
