The 2008 season of cycling.
--"Mama, the Italians are coming!"

For the first time in over a week I was back at it today and it has been too long. I was a little cool at the start, what with it being only 43 degrees. But for the first time this season there were no patches of snow or ice to stop me. That doesn't mean it was clear sailing however. There is a major road construction project on my route. I had to take a detour, and I think that is going to be the case for a while too because they actually have bright orange BIKE DETOUR signs posted on trees.
It adds about a mile to my route, and a couple of left-hand turns on busy streets I don't like, but unless I was going on a ride for speed ave. it won't matter much.
The bike felt great after the spacer replacement. No issues now. The only issues are my girly-weak legs and feeling the flab of my mid-section when I am in the drops. That's something I'm not used to, at least not at this time of year. I should already be in some sort of shape by now, but thanks to the winter from hell I am not. In time. And this week is supposed to bring warmer temps in the 60's on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I am looking forward to getting out there some more...only maybe with a few less layers on too!
Glad you got the Klein fixed and you're back on the roads
